ELASTIC CITY
Elastic City is the brainchild of Todd Shalom, an accomplished performance artist and poet among other eclectic endeavors. Elastic City takes the idea of walking tours in the city to a more elevated conceptual level, the city is a living and breathing organism in a perpetual state of transformation and Elastic City seeks to embrace and explore this territory. This perpetual morphing is literally reflected in the identity itself, which is comprised of 2 constants and 2 variables, all of which can be set in various combinations, each one producing a different meaning. The idea being that the identity itself is a poetic and linguistic metaphor for perpetual transformation. More to come…
